7 – 8:30pm: Herons With Carrie Crompton Carrie returns for a showing of herons she recorded in the wild. You’re invited to a showing of a 40-minute DVD chronicling the breeding season at a local great blue heron colony. 8:45 – 11am: Orchard Hill Invasive Species Removal Demonstration Interested in eliminating problematic invasive plants? Learn methods of barberry removal with forester Ed McGuire at Orchard Hill in Goodwin State Forest. Meet in front of the Goodwin Conservation Center at 8:45 am. You will then be directed to Nutmeg Lane Parking. Note: Nutmeg Lane Parking is easier if you have a higher clearance vehicle. The option of carpooling at Goodwin may be an easier choice.
