Friday, August 18th:

2 – 4pm: Water Energy Continue on the journey towards becoming a “Clean Energy Champion” this summer and learn about our Earth’s renewable energies during the Energize Connecticut Center’s Summer Series. On Friday, August 18th join us along with Project WET and the Regional Water Authority on an excursion as we discover how water travels through our natural habitats and water’s energy through fun, hands-on activities. Families will have the opportunity to explore the local wetlands, make their own water wheel, and have fun with our interactive water discovery. Light refreshments will be served Energize Connecticut Center, North Haven

1 – 3pm: Up-Cycled Paper Beaded Necklaces Join EcoWorks and instructor Amy Bowers to learn how to make beads from recycled paper, magazines, and newspapers. These beads are easy, relaxing and can be turned into great gifts for friends, family or yourself. Let’s roll, glue and string with this upcycling project! $15 per person, EcoWorks, New Haven

2 – 3pm: In-Season Talk: Herbal Teas Carole Barber of Herb Garden Naturals will be presenting about herbs and teas, with an activity too! Pardee Morris House, New Haven

7 – 9pm: Opera Palooza Starring singers from celebrated New England conservatories backed by a 30-Piece orchestra featuring musicians from symphonies throughout the region. New Haven Green
