9am – 12pm: Kids Workshop Come learn how to make a football toss game. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a free certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Free hands-on workshops; designed for children ages 5 – 12. Home Depot locations.
9am – 5pm: Come to Farm Day on the Fish Family Farm in Bolton. Families come back year after year for the animals, live music, hayrides, barn tours, games, and of course, all the farm fresh ice cream they can eat! $9 per non-member. Fish Family Farm, Bolton.
10am: Junior Chef Class It’s fun and easy to prepare yummy snacks in an air fryer, which cooks crispy fried foods using little or no oil. How cool is that? In this class we’ll make everything from chicken wings to French fries. Suitable for ages 5–13. Free. Registration is required. Williams-Sonoma location.
10am – 12pm: Kids Club They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. $2 per child, supplies included. Michael’s locations.

Sunday, September 6:
1pm: Technique Class Air fry your way to some of the tastiest foods imaginable – using little or no oil! We’ll use the Philips air fryer to cook sweet and spicy chicken wings, kale chips and more. Utilizing heat circulation technology, this innovative machine fries foods to crispy, golden brown perfection, and is also excellent for baking, roasting and grilling. Free. Registration is required. Monday, September 7:
9am: 8th Annual Give a Child a JumpStart 5K/10K Run or Walk and Family Fun Day! USATF certified course! Professionally timed race!$36 adults, $18 students and children (up to age 18), free for c5 and under. Rain or shine. JCC, Stamford.
10am – 11:30am: Apple Stamping It’s been a great season for fruit this year! Goodwin’s grounds are covered with apples that have fallen from the trees. We have been eating as many as we can (and the deer have been helping too) but let’s get crafty with them and get into the season of fall with some apple stamping! Handkerchiefs and paper will be provided for you to stamp on, but you might want to bring your own materials to stamp on! Wednesday, September 9:
10am – 5pm: Celebrate National Teddy Bear Day at EverWonder Come bring your favorite stuffed animal to EverWonder and celebrate National Teddy Bear Day on September 9th. EverWonder Children’s Museum, Newtown.
12 – 2pm: Hike to Brown Hill Marsh Take a 2-mile hike to Brown Hill Marsh! Brown Hill Marsh was created to support bird species including ducks and the Great Blue Heron, but lots of other types of wildlife make the marsh their home now.
