Mondays (until 9/12) at 6pm: Cruise Night Every Monday evening, Classic Hits 98.7 WNLC sponsors Ocean Beach Park’s “Cruise Night” show Enjoy a parade of antique cars and other interesting vehicles and the sounds of a Live DJ spinning classic music. Mondays (until 8/3) from 6 – 8pm: Blues Monday Please join us for Blues Monday and enjoy some great music in a family setting on the Mystic River. Items for our food pantry are being accepted. Rain or shine. Rain location: Mystic German Club. Mystic River Park, Mystic.

Tuesdays – Wednesdays at 9:30am: Free Summer Movies Free admission with two movies to choose from each day. Marquee Cinemas, Westbrook.
Tuesdays – Wednesdays (until 8/19) at 10am: Free Summer Movies Bowtie Cinemas offers free movies for kids. Seating limited to theatre capacity, tickets issued on a first come, first serve basis. Free for kids. Select Bowtie Cinemas.
Tuesdays – Wednesdays at 10am: Summer Movie Express Admission to the Summer Movie Express is only $1. Tickets available for purchase at the box office and all movies start at 10am and are rated G or PG. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute. Select Regal Cinemas.
Tuesdays (until 8/11) from 9 – 11am: Character Breakfasts Bring the little ones in on Tuesdays, July 14th to August 11th from 9am to 11am so they can meet, talk to, and have pictures taken with some of their favorite characters! This has become a popular event so we recommend making reservations although they are not required. My Place, Newtown.
Tuesdays (until 8/4) at 10am: Kids Club: Powered by Nat Geo Kids The Danbury Fair Kids Club is a great opportunity for your child to learn in a fun, and interactive setting. We’ve teamed up with National Geographic Kids to create activities and games that focus on discovery through play. 7/14: Featuring the fabulous Conroy Warren and limbo on over and be a part of Conroy’s band. Sparkles the clown with exotic face painting and design your very own summer visor. Danbury Fair Mall, Danbury.
Tuesdays (until 8/4) at 12pm: Summer Jam Children’s Concert Series Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs, picnic lunch and your friends for a fun and toe-tapping good time! Concerts are free of charge. Concerts are for ages 0–99, all are welcome! Newtown, CT
Tuesdays (until 8/11) at 12pm: Summer Tunes Grab your lunch and a blanket and join us for concerts at Old Mine Park, Upper Pavilion, at 12 noon. All music is geared toward children ages one to ten. Participation will be encouraged. Old Mine Ruins, Trumbull.
Tuesdays (until 8/27) at 7pm: CHIRP Concert Happenings in Ridgefield’s Parks at Ballard Park in Ridgefield.

Tuesdays (until 8/25) at 7pm: Summer Sunset Concerts at the Paradise Green in Stratford.
Tuesdays (until 8/28) from 7 – 9:30pm: Open Mic Night House band will provide back up, key board and percussion instruments if needed. Anyone interested in performing must sign up early that evening. Spots fill quickly. Bring a blanket/chair and join the fun! Freese Park, Norwalk.
Tuesdays (until 8/18) at sundown: Beach Blanket Movie Every Tuesday evening enjoy a free movie in the open night air from the comfort of your beach blanket. Our normal parking charge is always in effect and only $6 on weeknights. Ocean Beach Park, New London.
Tuesdays (until 8/25) at sundown: Movie Under the Stars The Madison Beach Hotel is hosting a complimentary summer-long weekly film festival for the whole family to enjoy! Each Tuesday, Madison Beach Hotel welcomes you and your family to come by and enjoy a featured film while underneath the starlit sky on Madison Beach’s lawn. Wednesdays at 10:30am: SOB Kids Day Every Wednesday children ages 4–10 are invited to take part in a crafting activity. Ocean Beach Park, New London.
Wednesdays (until 8/19) from 11:30am – 12:30pm: Storytime at Cheshire Park Meet us at the Cheshire Park this summer for a special program in the park! Bring your lunch and we will read stories and have fun with our parachute. Look for our Cheshire Public Library banner. If it’s raining, we will see you on the next sunny Wednesday! Wednesdays (until 8/5) at 6pm: Summer Family Concert Series Take family and friends along to the playground and enjoy some children/family music from some wonderful artists. Wednesdays (until 8/12) from 6 – 8pm: Rock the Docks The event series features the Best Local Live Entertainment around to include Blues, Country, Today’s Hits, Rock and Swing! Thursdays – Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 4pm: Legally Blond the Musical A fabulously fun international award-winning musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. This action-packed musical explodes on the stage with memorable songs and dynamic dances. Equal parts hilarious and heart-warming warming, this musical is so much fun it should be illegal! Thursdays – Saturdays at 8pm (until 8/8) and Sundays (until 8/2) at 2pm: Company It’s Bobby’s 35th birthday and you’re invited to celebrate! Company, based on a book by George Furth with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, features a series vignettes that follows Robert (Erick Sanchez), a bachelor about to celebrate his 35th birthday, and the friends trying to convince him – and themselves – of the joys of marriage. Thursdays (until 8/13) at 5pm: Alive@Five Outdoor Summer Concert Series Adults $10, Kids 12 and under are free. Under 21 must enter before 7pm and cannot leave and re-enter. You must be 21 and older to get into the concert area after 7 pm. Hands will be marked for under 21. Photo ID is required. Rain or shine. Columbus Park, Stamford.
Thursdays (until 8/6) from 6 – 9pm: Summer Jazz Concert Series Join us for an evening of Jazz music on the picturesque town green. Bring your dinner or visit one of the local restaurants, sit back and enjoy! Town Green, Branford.

Fridays (until 8/28): Free Fun Fridays offers visitors no cost admission to many of the most treasured cultural venues in Massachusetts. Museums include: The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, Sandwich Glass Museum in Sandwich, Cape Code Museum of Art in Dennis, Garden in the Woods in Framingham, Wenham Museum in Wenham, American Textile History Museum in Lowell and the Eric Carle Museum in Amherst.

Saturdays at 2pm and Sundays at 1pm: Charlotte’s Web Generations of children and parents have enjoyed the book Charlotte’s Web. In this theater for a young audience play we begin after a restless first night in the Zuckerman family barn, a wide-eyed young pig named Wilbur meets a witty and resourceful spider named Charlotte. When Wilbur learns through his fellow barnyard creatures of some unsettling plans for his future, Charlotte takes it upon her spinnerets and her trusty web to save him. This magical tale of what it means to be a good writer and a good friend features the much-loved characters created by E.B. White. The Summer Theatre of New Canaan, New Canaan.
Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays (until 8/16) at 2:30pm: Man of La Mancha The musical tells the story of the “mad” knight, Don Quixote, as a play within a play, performed by Cervantes and his fellow prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition. Songs such as All the Same, Dulcinea, I’m Only Thinking of Him, The Impossible Dream, I Really Like Him and Little Bird will stay with you long after the curtain closes. $25–30.
